Tavora® Keystone SI Belt for Low Back & Hip Pain

Finish the shift you started, and stop spending your days off recovering.

✓ Relief From the First Wear: steady support at the base of your back within minutes of strapping it on.

✓ Finish the Shift on Your Feet: it keeps holding after your muscles tire, from clock-in to clock-out.

✓ Bend Without Your Back Giving Out: it sits low on your hip bones, not around your soft waist like a brace, so you can bend over the bed, the tub or the pallet.

✓ Nobody at Work Will Know: just 4 inches tall, so it hides under scrubs or a work shirt.

Size guide

Quickest way: measure your hips, not your waist. The belt sits low, so that's the number that counts.

Size

Hips (inches)

Hips (cm)

M

32–42 in

81–107 cm

L

42–52 in

107–132 cm

Most accurate: wrap a soft tape measure around the widest part of your hips, over your hip bones.

In between sizes? Either one fits, and the Dial-In Straps set the final fit.

"I stand a lot at work and this really helps relieve the lower back pain I experience in my sacroiliac joint."

Will it help my kind of back pain?

It's made for pain that sits low, where your back meets your hips, and builds the longer you're on your feet: hour four at the station, the back half of a double, the drive home after. If that's you, the Keystone Belt sits right on that spot. Most customers feel steadier the first time they bend with it on. If your pain runs down your leg, comes with numbness, or started with a fall, see your doctor first.

"It didn't take away all the pain but it did make me feel a lot better. I can now walk much better without so much pain although there is still some discomfort." — Page

Will it stay in place?

Silicone Grip Strips on the inside hold it low while you bend, reach and lift. Wear it below your belly, snug enough to hold you.

"There's some rubbery stuff on the inside to keep it from riding up… I will be wearing this daily as someone who works on their feet." — Lennon

Why is it only 4 inches tall?

So the support stays right where the pain starts. A taller band creeps up into your soft waist, away from the spot, and digs in when you sit. At 4 inches it stays on your hip bones and you barely notice it.

"It's obviously not made to be a back support, it's a sacroiliac belt." — Kendall

What if it doesn't work for me?

Wear it through your next run of shifts. If you don't feel the difference, you get a full refund within 60 days. Wrong size? We'll swap it free.

"I had to send it back as it agitated another issue I had. They were great in my returning it." — Remy

Fine at Clock-In. Done by Hour Four?

Fine at Clock-In. Done by Hour Four?

You clock in fine. Maybe two pills already in your pocket, just in case.

Somewhere around hour four, your lower back and hips start killing you. Low, right where your back meets your pelvis.

So you start working around it. A foot up on a box. A knee against the counter. Leaning on the cart a little longer than you need to.

By hour seven, you're not working anymore. You're counting.

And you can't just ask for a break every hour, or call out. Not when the shift needs you and you need the shift.

Then you get in the car to drive home, and somehow it gets worse once you sit down.

You get home and the rest of the day goes to the heating pad. Your days off go to resting up for the next shift.

You've done the stretches, the pills, the brace someone gave you. And next shift, it shows up right on time.

If that's your shift, there's something most people with this kind of back pain are never told.

Some Back Pain Starts Below Your Back.

Some Back Pain Starts Below Your Back.

Put two fingers on the two dimples at the base of your back.

Between them is the sacrum, the keystone of your pelvis. Your whole spine sits on it. And like the keystone in a stone arch, loosen it and everything above starts to shift.

It's held by a joint on each side, the sacroiliac or "SI" joints. They're built to barely move. Ligaments and muscles squeeze them shut like a clamp.

When that squeeze gets weak, the base moves more than it should with every bend and every step out of the car.

You feel it in your back, but the trouble starts underneath it.

It's not that you're lifting wrong or your core is weak. It's the base everything sits on.

And until something holds that base steady, the pain keeps coming back, no matter how many times you stretch it out.

Researchers estimate these joints are behind up to 30% of low back pain that doesn't run down the leg.¹

Could it be your keystone?

It often:

• sits low, on one or both sides of those dimples
• spreads into the top of your buttock
• flares when you bend over a bed, a tub or a pallet
• builds the longer you're on your feet at work

If two or more sound like you, keep reading.

It Wasn't the Last Bend That Hurt Your Back. It Was the Four Hours Before It.

It Wasn't the Last Bend That Hurt Your Back. It Was the Four Hours Before It.

It feels like it comes out of nowhere. One more bend over the bed and you're done for the day.

But a move that small can't do that on its own.

Think about carrying grocery bags in from the car. The first few steps are easy. By the front door, your fingers burn. The bags never got heavier, but your grip got tired.

Your back works the same way. Over the bed, the tub, the pallet, the muscles that squeeze your keystone shut slowly tire. Every hour, the base of your back gets a little less help.

That's why it shows up at hour four, not at clock-in. Then one ordinary move becomes the last straw. We call it the Last-Straw Effect.

Why Everything You've Tried Keeps Wearing Off.

Why Everything You've Tried Keeps Wearing Off.

Your back doesn't give out because of the last bend. The muscles holding your keystone steady tire a little more every hour you're on your feet, like carrying grocery bags in from the car: the bags never get heavier, your grip just gets tired. By hour four, one ordinary bend is the last straw.

That's why everything you've tried keeps wearing off:

Breaks reset the clock but add no support, and you can't take one every 20 minutes.

The foot on the crate or the knee against the counter only helps while you stand still.

The pills in your pocket dull it, but nothing holds the base.

Stretches and the heating pad help before and after the shift. The build-up happens in the middle of it.

Your back brace wraps your soft waist, and your keystone sits below it. When the veterans say braces make you weak, that's the kind they mean: worn all day, squeezing your stomach.

You didn't do any of it wrong. None of it was there at your keystone, in the middle of the shift.

What's been missing is support at the base that lasts the whole shift, so the relief does too.

The Keystone Hold Takes the Strain Off Your Lower Back.

The moment you strap it on, you'll feel the base of your back go steady. That's the Keystone Hold: three parts doing the job your tired muscles can't keep up with.

1. The Keystone Band

So the relief lands where the pain starts

Like the hip strap on a hiking pack, it puts the hold on your hip bones, right around your keystone, and leaves your waist free to bend.

2. Grip Strips

So the relief doesn't slip away

Silicone strips inside grip like the rubber pad on a jar opener, and hold it low when you bend over a bed, a tub or a pallet.

3. Dial-In Straps

So you can keep it on the whole shift

Snug them on the floor and you feel the hold right away. Ease them off on break or in the car, and sit without taking it off.

Customers who work on their feet tell us they notice:

✓ Getting through a very physical shift without the back pain
✓ Less ache after long days on their feet
✓ The busy season done without their back giving out
✓ Sitting down on break without taking it off

Your muscles tire by hour four. The Keystone Hold keeps going, so you finish the shift on your feet, whether it's the last patient, the last floor or the last load.

Physical Therapists Use Belts Like This. Most People Never Hear About It.

Physical Therapists Use Belts Like This. Most People Never Hear About It.

Physical therapists fit pelvic belts on patients, and chiropractors recommend them. In a published study, a pelvic belt significantly reduced movement at these joints, most of all when worn just below the bony points at the front of the hips. That's exactly where the Keystone Belt sits.²

Yet most people never hear about one:

"I'm now recommending them to my patients along with chiropractic care."

— a chiropractor who bought one

"It gives great support and I have recommended it to my clients who report liking it also."

— Frances P., massage therapist

Compare that to one adjustment, or one shift you have to leave early. For about the same, once, it's there for every heavy shift, right alongside your care.

How Customers Get Through Their Shifts.

Individual experiences vary.

Put It On Before Clock-In.

Put It On Before Clock-In.

1. Find the bony points. Feel for the two bony points at the front of your hips. The belt goes just below them.

2. Wrap it low. Wrap it across your lower back and around your hips, beneath your belly. Close it at the front.

3. Dial in the straps. Pull both straps forward until it's snug but doesn't push your stomach up.

That's it. Start your shift and feel the difference.

Tip: wear it against your skin or over a thin, fitted layer. A loose shirt can ride up with it.

On break: ease the straps to sit, and snug them again before you're back on the floor.

Bathroom breaks: it closes at the front, so it's quick to undo.

Your Questions, Answered Honestly.

How soon will I feel it?

Most customers feel steadier the first time they bend with it on, often within minutes. Give it 2–3 shifts to get used to how it feels, then judge it on a full one.

"Put it on and immediately wasn't limping around with a hand on my back for support." — Harper

How do I pick my size?

Measure around your hips, not your waist. M fits 32–42" (81–107 cm). L fits 42–52" (107–132 cm). If you're in between, either size fits and the straps set the final fit.

I carry some weight around my middle. Will it roll?

Wear it below your belly, not across it, and snug the straps without pushing your stomach up.

"I carry my weight in my hips and tummy and was worried it would pull the velcro apart when I sat or if I moved but it has never made a sound and the velcro seems strong!" — Ira

Can I sit down on break, or drive home in it?

Yes. Ease the Dial-In Straps when you sit down on break or in the car, and snug them back up before you're on the floor again.

"I release some pressure from the side tabs when sitting." — Shiloh

How long should I wear it each day?

Most customers wear it for the shift, or just the heavy ones, and take it off after.

Does it get warm? Will it show under my uniform?

It's neoprene, so you'll feel it on a long shift in a hot kitchen or a warm ward. But it's perforated, only 4 inches tall, and lies flat under scrubs or a work shirt.

"It is not noticeable under a long shirt or jacket for work." — Marlowe A.

Will I end up depending on it?

Wear it for the shifts that need it, and keep doing your exercises. It sits on your hip bones, not around your stomach like a corset.

"I will probably use it again when I need to protect my back." — Logan

How do I wash it? Will it last?

Machine wash, hang dry. That's why most people get two: one on shift, one in the wash.

"It has lasted well over 2 years, still has good elastic." — Nico

How fast does it ship?

Free shipping. Orders are processed in 24–48 hours and arrive in 5–10 business days.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Wear it through your real shifts for up to 60 days. If you don't feel the difference, email us for a full refund.
